Every Letter is a Jewel

May 4, 5, 6  / 11 am–1pm CDT

Working in a 3" x 3" format, we will use a variety of mediums to create our little "jeweled" letters.

These drawn and painted letters are sure to delight everyone!

This is a 6-hour Zoom class, 2 hours each day for three days. Video is available with no time limit.


Make Your Mark

May 11, 12, 13  / 11 am–1pm CDT

This class will explore the beauty of the abstract form, using all sorts of tools and fluids to ‘make our mark’ on the page. The artist Georgia O’Keeffe said: ‘Go fill your space in a beautiful way.’ It is my hope that this class will help you do that!

This is a 6-hour Zoom class, 2 hours each day for three days. Video is available with no time limit.

The following classes have been previously been done live, and are now being offered to purchase as videos for $55. The videos are available with no time limits.

Fun & Funky Letters

This is a great class for those who want to learn how to create playful letters, both in color and black and white. Through a series of exercises we will explore new ways to make letters with both traditional and non-traditional tools. We will work with black on white, white on black, walnut ink, watercolors, metallics, and gel pens on different papers.


Exploring the Handwritmic Ruling Pen

Come find out more about this fabulous, versatile writing tool designed by artist/calligrapher, Brody Neuenschwander.


You will learn how the pen responds to different hand and arm movements; different fluids; and different papers.


Wild Writing with Resist

This class will explore ways of making letters and abstract marks using all sorts of traditional and non-traditional writing tools. Students will be led through exercises that will focus on composition and the importance of negative space. They will then learn several resist techniques using liquid gesso, acrylics, Frisket, and masking fluid.
